芥川龍之介研究 : 倫理的存在としての愚者の創造

Abstract

This paper deals with Akutaga's poor-minded persons who are described as moral beings. The first important thing in Akutagawa's will is that he says he would not commit suicide if he were alone. It means that the family caused him suffiering. When he was born. his mother became mad, and he was adopted into his uncle's family. He was brought up as a handsome smart adopted child. But the situation was changed when his marriage was refused by his stepparents, Finally he accepted their opinions and gave up his marriage, but he tried to escape from them and establish his own world in his short novels in which self-assertive and self-centered persons are valued so much. The second important thing in his will is that he says he regretted having a love affair with Mrs. Shigeko Hide which drove him to despair. He despaired of a woman and his own self, and lost confidence in his self-assertive world, but he could meet his real mother and create an moral being which he really wanted to be in his short novel titled "Toshisyun" and a poor-minded woman in " Christ in Nanjing" that he wrote after his stupid and poor love affair.
